While Noelle is busy playing, Addison is usually sleeping. She likes to sleep, A LOT. Noelle wasn't much for napping when she was a baby, so this is just a totally different experience for me. I don't get much chance to hold her during the day, so daddy & I enjoy letting her sleep on our shoulders at night after Noelle is in bed.

Since we have been home much more than usual the past few weeks, I think Noelle gets bored playing with her toys in the living room. We just had the basement carpeted a few days before Addison was born, so Noelle enjoys going downstairs to play for a change of scenery and some different toys. She loves to run around in the big open space too. The basement is finished for now, eventually we will add a built-in entertainment center, and cabinets & appliances in the kitchen area, but it is functional for entertaining big groups and for the girls to play. It feels wonderful to have that big project behind us!

So Sweet ...

Noelle is absolutely in love with her baby sister. When she wakes up in the morning she isn't interested in breakfast anymore, she just wants to know where baby is. She loves to hug & kiss Addison and is always looking her in the eyes saying 'Hi baby, hi baby ...' Noelle will be thrilled when Addison is old enough to interact with her more. It is amazing to me too, when I see them side by side like this, how much they grow in just over a year's time!

Our Little Princess

Here are a few more pics of our precious Addison. We've been home two days now and so far everything is going great. Matt and our family have been great about helping me out and Noelle hasn't been too jealous yet , she is very excited about having a baby in the house. Addison seems to have a pretty laid-back, relaxed personality, which is a wonderful thing with two little girls so close in age! I had fun today unpacking all of Noelle's baby clothes for Addison to wear now, there are so many cute little outfits that needed to be worn again. I am so excited for all of the fun times they will share as they grow up together.

It's a Girl!

Addison Grace joined our family yesterday, August 8 at 4:05 p.m. She weighed in at 8 lbs, 5 oz and is 20 inches long. Praise God for another perfect, healthy little girl!
