Noelle's Four Year Pics

Taken a couple of months late, but my excuse is we were waiting for nice weather for outdoor pictures. :)  It was a beautiful summer night for pictures at the park, worth waiting for!  We had so much fun, I remember a couple of challenging photo sessions during her toddler years when she refused to leave my side much less smile, so much nicer when she is actually enjoying the process!  Here are some of my favorites ...

Cottage-ing

Since she is used to camp-ing, Noelle naturally refers to our most recent vacation as cottage-ing. Last week we spent a fabulous week at a cottage my parents rented on Stony Lake. We enjoyed lots of good quality family time, fun activities and relaxation.
Here are the girls on our first morning there, they couldn't wait to start splashing around in the water
Guess Addison thought Emma needed a bedtime snack too
On Sunday morning after church we did some picture taking while everyone was all dressed up

Daddy and all his girls on Fathers Day
Relaxing and watching Snow White
Matt, Noelle, Addison, Uncle Dan and Auntie Kristin all share a love for fishing, they caught an incredible amount of fish over the course of the week, off the dock and in the boat

Emma just loved playing in the water too, I think all the fun exhausted all three of them, they all slept a ton, mommy definitely enjoyed the sleeping in!

Emma and her adoring aunties, I surely got spoiled with all the extra hands to help with the kids, it was greatly appreciated!
Emma and Grandma enjoying the sunshine on the dock
The girls have some adoring uncles too
Noelle teaching Auntie Kristin how to play her computer games :)
Addison had been talking for weeks about how she wanted to go tubing, really fast ... we figured she was all talk, but once we got out there she loved it and was asking daddy to go faster! Noelle is not the daredevil that her sister is, she liked it but she'd rather stay dry in the boat. Such different personalities those two have!

Couldn't have been a more perfect week!

Sewing For My Sweetie

Made this fun bubble romper for Emma on Friday night ... and made her model it for me the next morning. I've made a couple different styles of dresses for the girls but this was something new for me and it was so fun and EASY to make. It also has a matching fabric flower, which I don't have done yet, but I couldn't wait to see how it fit. :) Love sewing for my girls and there are so many things I'd love to try ... if only I had more time!

Hooray for Camping Season!

All of us are so very excited that camping season has arrived! As is tradition, we took our first trip of the year over Memorial Day weekend to John Gurney Park in Hart. It was a fabulous weekend spent with family. My pictures are rather disorganized as I was uploading from two cameras and Kristin's facebook page, so here they are in no particular order ...

The girls know that camping usually means fishing, and they had been talking about it for days before we left. Noelle tells the story best ... she didn't catch ANY fish all weekend, but on going home day, they went fishing one last time, and finally she got a fish!!! A black croppie.
Saturday was very chilly and a little drizzly so they did some fishing under the bridge, Addison caught 2 fish!

Saturday night got a little warmer so we took our first boat ride of the summer, and did more fishing of course.

Mommy took lots of walks with Emma, she's a great little walking buddy, her face says it all ... she loves stroller rides and she loved her very first camping trip

Playing Ticket to Ride with the big girls

There was not a lot of napping done during this trip, two of my girls just exhausted after a fun busy day!

Matt is great at making fire food ... he cooks hobo pies, marshmallows, hotdogs, etc. to perfection, so I always make him do mine for me. Just don't have the touch.

Midnight movie

while the girls played more games

A gorgeous view of the lake from our campsite

Heading out for one last boat ride and fishing trip

More of fishing under the bridge
