Addison - One Year Pics

Better late than never ... too cute not to share.

Big Changes!

Each of the girls has reached a milestone of their own over the last couple of weeks. For Noelle, it was the switch to a 'big girl' bed. Matt kind of randomly suggested converting her crib to the toddler bed one Saturday afternoon. It was something I knew we should probably do one of these days, but she wasn't trying to get out of her crib, so why mess with a good thing? I'm so glad we did it though because she is so thrilled and has been handling it like a champ. No nighttime hassles whatsoever, at naptime she tends to dink around in her room for awhile, but she always goes to sleep eventually. These pictures show you exactly how excited she is about her 'new' bed!

And Addison's big accomplishment is WALKING!! She is not walking exclusively yet but walks further distances every day. Her biggest problem is she thinks she can go faster than those little legs can go, so she ends up tripping and crawling the rest of the way cause that just requires less effort. :) I haven't been able to get a good pic of her walking on her own, but I did get a cute one of her with her latest favorite toy, putting those walking skills to good use!

One Last Time

Last weekend we went on our final camping trip of the season with our friends, the Zeinstras. Some of these pics will look similar to my previous post since we stayed at the same campground. :) We were blessed with more beautiful summer-like weather and we enjoyed lazy days, nights around the campfire, visits from friends and watching our girls play together. The big girls are one year apart in age and the little girls are two months apart so they have lots of fun with eachother.
Noelle and Josie just chilling in the trailer
The little girls

The big girls

I think this was Noelle's first s'more ever, daddy fed it to her to avoid the sticky mess.

Swimming in the pond

All snuggly in her towel, too cute.

What little girls don't love to have tea parties?

Labor Day Weekend

What a perfect weekend! Couldn't have asked for better weather, the girls couldn't have been any happier, lots of fun things to do, sleeping in and relaxing ... makes me sad that summer is technically over now and it'll be time to put the trailer in storage soon. We've had such a fun summer and I hate to see it come to end, but fall always brings it's own fun experiences too. We spent the weekend at TriPonds with Dad & Mom N, we stayed there one other time this summer and just love all the different activities available for the kids. The girls had a great time playing at the beach, swimming in the pool, walking to the playground and visiting the little petting zoo near our site.

The girls are happiest when they are together, Noelle got a little bored when Addison was taking her morning naps, here she is lettting little sister know how much she missed her.

I'm all ready to go swimming mommy!

Playing at the beach/pond, they really enjoy puttering around at the edge of the water

Addison thought it would be fun to climb in the beach bag, I suppose that would be a convenient way to carry her around

They both love playing in the bunks, somehow they always have an amazing amount of energy right before bedtime!

Two Busy Girls, Tractors and Big Star

Wanted to post some fun pics from the past week or so ....

Miss Addison is our adventurous child, she climbs in and on everything! Has no fear. I'm surprised she hadn't figured this out sooner.

I've always loved baking and lately this is something Noelle looks forward to as well. This is a special Mommy-Noelle time that we do for sure once a week. This time we are making one of our favorite brownie recipes and her job is sprinkling the chocolate chips on top, you can see that she is taking this responsiblity very seriously. :)

We went to visit Matt on the night he had to work at the fair. Unfortunately it was lightly raining most of the night, but we had a fun time anyway. The girls were excited to see daddy and had a great time playing on the tractors. We walked through the barns to see all the animals too and then decided to head home before we got too wet!

We spent last weekend at Big Star Lake with Keith & Nikki, Steve & Karin and all the kids. We parked our trailer at the campground on the lake and the others rented cottages, so we were all sleeping different places, but spent the days together. Had a wonderful time, even though the weather wasn't ideal ... Saturday was cold and rainy, we were inside pretty much all day, Sunday still a bit chilly but sunny at least!
How many kids can a pedal boat carry? Lucas eventually ended up on it too!

At least we got a little bit of beach time

It was probably only 60 some degrees, but the kids all put on their suits and braved the water, I think this was all the farther Noelle went in though. :)
