Pretty in Pink

The girls and I had a great day at home together yesterday. With working 2 days a week, running errands, going to appointments and having social time, we rarely have a day where we can just stay home all day. We love the lazy mornings, playing outdoors for hours and getting lots of things accomplished! Noelle usually asks me in the morning what we're going to do today and she is always excited too when I tell her we're just going to stay home and play. One of the highlights for them yesterday was getting their toenails painted for the first time. I had found some polish at Target the night before that was supposed to dry in 60 seconds. Now I don't think Addison ever sits still for that long unless she is sleeping, but she wanted hers done just like big sister so we managed to keep her somewhat still sitting on my lap. They were so proud of their pink piggies and couldn't wait to show daddy when he got home.

Camping!!

We got to go on our first camping trip of the season over Memorial Day weekend. We were all so excited, I don't know if Addison remembers camping from last summer or if she just gets excited because Noelle is excited, but anytime we brought it up she started squealing, bouncing and clapping. We spent the weekend in Hart with Kristin & Dan and Kate & John. The girls had a great time being spoiled by their uncles and aunties. The weather was amazing, just some rain early Monday morning, and I think we all came home with some nice tans to start the summer!
This picture was actually taken the night before we left, the girls were helping daddy get the boat ready. Just makes me laugh so I had to share. I now have two little girls who like to pick out their own clothing and accessories. Addison's favorite footwear are her pink polka dot boots which you can see make a wonderful accessory for any outfit. :)
Noelle got to try out her new fishing pole. She did lots of fishing with daddy and Uncle Dan. She loves to be out on the water ... fishing, tubing, and watching her uncles and aunties ski.

The girls enjoyed lots of yummy special treats

I can't remember it ever being warm enough to go to the beach so early in the year. Just a small beach but we had the whole thing to ourselves.

We took a walk to the ice cream shop on Saturday night. They had the perfect sized baby cones for the girls. They were actually able to eat the whole thing before it completely melted.

I think this was Addison's first ever ice cream cone
