Step One

Noelle and Addison are both so excited to start sharing a bedroom. But before Addison moves to the basement, step one is proving she can handle sleeping in a big girl bed. Last week we converted her crib to a daybed and so far she has been doing great. She's gotten up a couple of times when she goes down for a nap, but she always stays in bed until I come to get her in the morning and when naptime is done. I think she understands that she better not mess this up if she wants to move to her new bedroom! So proud of her!

2 Months Old

Emma is 2 months old this week! She had her doctor visit already and was in the 75th percentile for both height and weight. She has been sleeping through the night for the last week or two and is taking great naps during the day too. Always a blessing to have a good sleeper! She is sharing more and more smiles with us and is beginning to talk with us too. She is such a sweet and content baby, I am enjoying her so much and of course she is just growing up way too fast! Her big sisters are still completely in love with her and do a great job of entertaining her when mommy has work to do. I see features of both Noelle and Addison in her, but in the end I think we're going to have another auburn haired girl who looks like her daddy.

Child of God

This past Sunday was such a beautiful and joyful day, celebrating God's love for Emma and the rest of our family. I had been praying all week long that we would all wake up healthy, that our morning would go smoothly and that we'd make it to church with time to spare (not an easy task with three little girls to feed and dress by 9am!). God answered those prayers and the day couldn't have been more perfect. Emma of course wore my own baptism dress that both of my sisters and both of her sisters also wore.

Introducing Emma to her church family

Thankfully Emma waited with her blowout until after we got home from church, it was a messy one, took two grandmas to clean her up :)

Our family all came to our house for lunch and cake to celebrate
