Happy Third Birthday!

Finally, a post!! During tax time I am still in the office my normal two days a week but I put in extra hours from home after the kids go to bed and during naptime, which means I just have to let go some of the things that don't 'need' to be done. Now that I've survived another tax season I hope to get back to posting a bit more regularly and catching up on my long to-do list of projects around the house!
On Saturday we celebrated Noelle's third birthday! The festivities actually began on Friday night when we took her to the mall for Build-a-Bear, the carousel and ice cream. When I told her she could choose where she wanted to go for supper she wanted to go to the ice cream store so we compromised with pizza in the food court first and Dairy Queen for dessert. Her birthday gift from mommy and daddy was a trip to Build-a-Bear. It was her first time there and she just loved it! She is so proud of her new doggie that we named Sadie.

Saturday night we had our families over for tacos, cake and ice cream and of course they all brought lots of presents for Noelle to open.
Noelle with her caterpillar cake. This is the most elaborate cake I've attempted so far, it has its flaws but I had fun making it and overall was satisfied with how it turned out.

Just a sweet moment ... reading a book with cousin Gabe

As soon as she finished her supper, she was asking me every five minutes if it was time for presents yet, but she was good she didn't touch them until I gave her the okay.

Surprisingly she always opened the card before the present

Trying so hard to blow out those candles!

It was a fun weekend, so thankful for our sweet little girl and praying that God will bless her with many more happy birthdays!
