Our Summer Thus Far

Whew! Just uploaded tons of pics and this has to officially be my longest post ever. The past month has been filled with so many fun events and this week life has finally slowed down enough that I can share them all.

We spent a week at a cottage on Hess Lake with my family. We did lots of boating, fishing, playing out by the water and playing games after the kiddos went to bed.

So busy!

Making 'soup' ... or just making a mess

Playing cards with Uncle John and Neenee (when Noelle was learning to talk she came up with neenee for auntie and for whatever reason the name has stuck with Auntie Kate and Addison has never called her by any other name either :)

Afternoon boat ride ... although Addison hated the boat when we took it out for the first time Memorial Day weekend she had a change of heart this week and decided she loved it just as much as her sister.
So proud of her catch!

Fourth of July weekend ... spent with Matt's family, which has been tradition since a year or two after I met Matt. Since it was so hot, we spent lots of time at Uncle Dave and Auntie Taraynn's pool, which they just put in this summer.

Yummy chicken salad for lunch with yummy red, white and blue cupcakes for the kids

All of the girl cousins

Noelle LOVED the slip and slide, she took more trips down the hill than any of the other kids

Addison liked it best when she could slide down with Delani

Our annual camping trip to Lake Mitchell State Park .... we spent a little over a week camping in Cadillac with family and lots of friends from church. We had perfect weather, in 10 days only 1 morning of rain, so we spent lots of time in the beach and were outdoors pretty much every minute that we weren't sleeping!

Fishing on the channel with Gabe, Ty and Lani

Grandpa delivered cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Sunday morning

We rode our bikes to the park with Josie and Payton and their mommy

But somehow I didn't get any pictures of all of the girls together, oops!

Both of the girls had a blast in the water, we tried to spend a couple hours at the beach each day between lunch and naps

Superman ice cream!

Helping daddy make blueberry pancakes

There was a duck that kept coming back to visit us throughout the week, all of the little girls loved feeding it bread and chasing it around

Gabe teaching Noelle the art of building sand castles

And in baby news, we had our ultrasound a few weeks back. We are so thankful for the good report of a healthy baby and were excited to find out our baby's gender for the first time (we didn't do that with our other kids). But for the rest of you, that will remain a secret until delivery day, hopefully. :) So that means I am having fun being able to plan the nursery and do some shopping ahead of time. I am feeling great and starting to grow a more noticeable belly, I have given in to wearing some of my maternity clothes in the last week. I'm over halfway through now and getting more and more excited to meet this little one!
